As the fourth largest wine producer in the world, America offers incredible wines from a diverse range of terrains and climates.  Gone are the days when USA wines were associated with cheap output and mass production, recent excellent harvests and top winemakers have raised the profile and calibre to create well-balanced whites and rich, fruity reds of superb quality and at great value prices.

When we consider American wines, we mostly think of Napa Valley, California, the home of the creamiest Chardonnays and the finest Cabernet Sauvignons.  Although California makes over 80% of America's wine output, other states - Washington and New York also produce excellent varieties and Oregon is widely regarded for its finely crafted, silky Pinot Noirs.
